You're a normal gal or a guy who just won the damn powerball. Money being no matter, you, an eclectic mix of connoisseur, 5 year old enthusiasm and hard nosed practicality decide to put your wealth to fast moving pursuits. But because you understand the nature of wealth, life and the transient nature of it all, decide to not put down a list that is endless and buy all those cars you lust for and live the rest of your life penniless. No sir. You setup a fund for charity, help out friends in need and earmark a small amount for pursuits on wheels. So here is your conundrum. Pick 5

1. You're a family man/woman/alien at heart who still likes to drop the kids at school yourself or pop over to the nearest store to pickup a carton of milk and eggs. Given the nature of the rest of your cars, this better be reliable although subtlety isn't quite necessary.

My pick ? F1 Medical Car. Why? Because wagon!

Kinja'd!!!

2. Track car- Enough said.

My pick? Start from a formula ford and work my way up to an F1 car (newest one I can find!)

Kinja'd!!!

3. Pleasure - When you want to go for a ride, just because you want to feel the wind in your hair, or hear 12 angels sing or clear your head and relax.

My pick? V12 orchestra

Kinja'd!!!

4. Fancypants - Having gotten much wealth (such wealth, very fancy, wow!) it only behoves you to travel in luxury when meeting other wealthy folks for that black tie event to schmooze.

My pick? Nothing other than a Rolls, custom built, would do. Travel in style like the Maharajas of yore.

Kinja'd!!!

5. Trophy car - To admire in your show area in your mansion and regale your guests.

My pick? An original Ford GT or a Porsche 917.

What would you pick Oppo?

I will counter you with my three-car practical dream garage.

1. DD - 90's Porsche 993 Convertible.

2. Fun - 60s-70s Ford Bronco

3. Lunatic-Nuts-Mobile - AC Cobra Kit Car (Seriously, drive one. You will meet the Grim Reaper and he will blink first.)

There's room for tinkering. Could be a Wrangler instead of a Bronco. Could be a Caterham 7 instead of a Cobra. But, I'm pretty dead set with those three

Here's my 2 cents worth:
1 DD- I'd get an Audi Q7 with the 3.0 TDI engine. I'd go for the "Prestige" model, in light blue, with all the goodies! Also, APR tune, so it makes 309hp and 479ft-lbs of torque!

2 Track- I'd love to do impromptu rallying. For this, I'd get a '95 Eclipse AWD, and equip it with a naturally aspirated, custom built (probably V4 engine) generating somewhere around 350hp/ft lbs. High revving, of coarse! Inside, a full rally roll cage, and nice rally seats, but I'd keep most of the interior usable to get me to the rally stage with a modicum of comfort. This would be painted dark red, with AE86 style dark grey accenting on the lower portion of the car.

3. Fun drive machine- This one was especially hard, but I decided to go with a 1972 Ford Mustang. Mine would be pretty special, though. The engine would be a 460cu-in ford plant, equipped to a Tremec, or Borg-Warner 5 speed manual transmission (yes, I'm being that specific). Also to ad, the "460" would have 5 valves per cylinder, and make about 550hp and 750-780ft-lb. For paint, I'd go with a Deep, rich purple, and black accenting. Interior? Ringbrothers style: Modernized take on the old. outside? same, with wide wheel arches to accommodate the 285's up fron, and the 315's in the rear!

4 Fancypants - What is fancier than a British Racing green Bentley Continental? some things, yes but only a few...

5 Trophy Car - Shelby Cobra Daytona. Painted Ferrari red, to fuck with purists, and because I have one in Forza Horizon, and it looks damn sexy...

1) DD - Ford Mustang GT. In real life, I'm planning on an Ecoboost. With powerball money I'll take a loaded GT in Competition Orange. We don't want kids anyway.

Kinja'd!!!

2) Track Car - Porsche 930 Slant Nose. I could probably spend a life time trying to master driving it and I've always loved the look of the Slant Nose.

Kinja'd!!!

3) Pleasure - Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA. Because Alfa.

Kinja'd!!!

4) Fancy Pants - Cadillac Eldorado (Elmiraj). I'm sure Cadillac will build me one in exhange for some fortuitously earned money.

Kinja'd!!!

5) Crown Jewel - 1969 Camaro. This last category makes me realize how difficult it is for me to pick that one car I want more than any other. My mind keeps going to the 2003 Mach 1, a car I instantly fell in love with. Others that pop up: 70 Road Runner, 77 Bandit Trans Am, 66 Batmobile, BTTF Delorean, Bullitt Mustang, 60 Seagrave Pumper(because firetruck). But I think I would hunt down the car that got mw into cars. I'd find my father's 69 Camaro we sold about 10 years ago and give it a full restoration.

Kinja'd!!!

(Not his, but as close as I could find to what it would look like when I'm finished. His would be a 327, not a 350.)

Well, I'd go to Shelby and buy one of these...

Kinja'd!!!

Then, one of these...

Kinja'd!!!

And next to that, I'd put this...

Kinja'd!!!

Next to that, for balance, I'd park...

Kinja'd!!!

Adding generations already, this would come next...

Kinja'd!!!

Since I'd already have so many, why not add...

Kinja'd!!!

But because I just couldn't leave out...

Kinja'd!!!

When all was said and done, I'd convert a barn into a garage and give each pony its very own stable so that I could park one of these out front...

Kinja'd!!!

Sure, there'd be other cars. But if I hit it super rich, I'd start with these and build myself one heck of a collection of ponies. Some stock, some modded. Some from aftermarket masters like Roush and Saleen.

I usually ponder this whenever I have time but always have an answer in my head. I would probably be out the first week after collecting and buy all my dream vehicles. A fast garage is something I always want and currently try to have achieve the most attainable combination of daily drivability and speed.

1. DD - Audi S8 - four doors, AWD, V8 twin-turbo. check, check, and check. I've always been a fan of fast, four door family haulers and there will always be one in my stable, even if I don't have kids.

2. Fun Car - Nissan GT-R - I've always liked this car even though its price is soaring and it's starting to compete with others in terms of price for performance but it still is on my want list and always will be.

3. Pleasure - Jaguar F-Type V8 S - The exhaust note and styling. need I say more.

4. Show off - Ferrari F12 Berlinetta - over 700HP from a V12 and RWD? yes please

5. Dream car - Ferrari F40 - Always wanted one as a kid and it is my dream car to buy. It may be an outlandish goal but something to work towards.

my list:

1)DD: mid 90's taurus/sable wagon with an SHO drivetrain.

2)truck: i'll keep my '80 f-150 but it needs the 5-speed/axles from a 7.3 f-250 4x4.

3)lookit me car: i'll keep my nova, but built as a period correct dirt tracker...but still street legal.

4)motorcycle: today i want a ural.
